How long does it take for a WNY rheumatologist to return a call?

Please allow 1-2 business days for WNY Rheumatology to return any non-urgent telephone calls. Lab results and x-ray results will be discussed at follow-up appointments unless there is an abnormality, in which case you will receive a call from the provider or nurse.

How to get a refill for WNY?

Please plan ahead for medication refills. To obtain a refill, call your pharmacy and request the refill (at least 48-72 hours) ahead of when you need your medication. The pharmacy will then contact WNY Rheumatology to authorize the refill. These requests will be processed during normal business hours (Monday-Friday).

How to access the patient portal?

MEDENT Patient Portal#N#With the Patient Portal you will be able to do the following: 1 Send and receive non-urgent messages and information from your doctor’s office, including test results and educational materials 2 Easily notify the practice of changes to your personal information, including phone number, address, and insurance changes 3 Request a refill for a medication prescribed by a provider at the practice 4 View upcoming and previous appointments, including the doctor and location of those appointments 5 View and/or print your current medications and allergies list

Why do we need a patient portal?

Having a patient portal account helps the practice create a more accurate record of your medical history as well as educate you on certain aspects of your health. It provides you and the practice with a more efficient means of communication, eliminating sources of frustration such as phone tag.

What is patient portal?

The Patient Portal uses HTTPS to provide encrypted communication between you and your doctor’s office. Access to your portal account is controlled through secure access codes, personal ID’s, and passwords. Only you will have access to the login information needed to view your account.

How to view lab results in a portal?

View lab results – under the chart tab of your portal view, request a chart summary. Labs will be available in the chart summary once requested.
