What is a graduate specialty dentist?
Graduate Specialty Clinics. Providers are licensed dentists with a DMD or DDS degree who are either residents or postgraduate students training to specialize in a particular field of dentistry. These clinics typically charge fees that are much less than a standard private dental clinic but more than the student clinics.

Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) provides a full range of oral health services while training the next generation of dentists. Our student and faculty providers strive to deliver care that highlights the importance of clinicians and patients working together. We emphasize communication, compassion and collaboration and work to educate patients about treatment options and preventive care. We respect patients’ values, including their cultural and religious beliefs. At our clinics, we offer high-quality care which, when provided by predoctoral students, is much more affordable than private practices. But services are not free.
