The Student Wellness Center (SWC) at UNLV is actively working with the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) and monitoring the COVID-19 (a.k.a. Coronavirus) situation through information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Where is the UNLV dental clinic?

UNLV School of Dental Medicine operates several clinical programs at two locations in Las Vegas. Our primary dental offices are located at 1700 W. Charleston Blvd., within the Las Vegas Medical District. Our UNLV Smiles Dental Clinic is located at 4505 S. Maryland Parkway inside the Student Recreation and Wellness Center on the UNLV campus.

The UNLV Support Team is available to assist students who are experiencing distressing circumstances.

Does UNLV require counselors?

It is important to note that the university does not expect you to assume the role of counselor, therapist, or police officer. UNLV has trained professionals who are ready to assist you with students in distress. For those responsibilities, UNLV has trained professionals who are ready to assist you with students in distress. The Office of Conduct (OSC), Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Student Health Center (SHC), Disability Resource Center (DRC), University Police Services and administrators stand ready to assist you. We hope these services will help you to identify a potentially difficult situation and provide you with specific ideas and resources when you encounter a student in distress.
