What is a portal for mental health?

The portal is a secure and confidential method to communicate regarding your non-urgent medical and mental health needs. You can use the portal to perform a variety of actions including but not limited to: Follow up on your visit by communicating with your provider.

What is WH&CS portal?

The WH&CS Patient Portal offers a variety of online options in an effort to improve patient access to SHC services; streamline your patient experience at SHC and facilitate communications between you and your providers and other SHC staff. You can use the portal to perform a variety of actions including but not limited to: 1 Follow up on your visit by communicating with your provider 2 Complete your TB High Risk Screening Questionnaire (new, incoming student requirement) 3 Enter your immunization information and upload immunization records (new, incoming student requirement) 4 View and print your immunizations 5 Request a prescription refill 6 Complete pre-appointment visit questionnaires and/or medical history forms 7 Complete required compliance forms prior to your appointment 8 Obtain your lab results 9 Schedule, view or cancel appointments online 10 View and print billing statements 11 Request a medical records release for an outside provider 12 Request a copy of your medical records 13 Ask a question about your insurance referral 14 Ask a question about admission health requirements

What is UCSHIP insurance?

UCSHIP is a systemwide plan providing enhanced health benefits to all enrolled students. All registered students are automatically enrolled in UCSHIP, but if you have comparable insurance and you do not want to keep UCSHIP as dual coverage, you must submit a request to waive enrollment by the specified deadline.

Where is the student health insurance office?

Student Health Insurance Office. The Student Health Insurance Office is located in the Student Health Services Building. Many of the services that we provide will be managed through email, fax, and telephone. For consultation, please call (951) 827-3031.

Does SHS cover health care?

Although any registered student can get health care at SHS, UC SHIP covers more when you access care on campus.

Who is financially responsible for paying the UCSHIP health fee?

Students who do not submit and obtain an approved waiver by the waiver/fee payment deadline will be enrolled in UCSHIP and financially responsible for paying the UCSHIP health fee.

What is UC Ship?

All registered UCLA students are automatically enrolled into the UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP) at the start of each new academic year.

Why are all submissions subject to audit by AHP?

All submissions are subject to audit by AHP to ensure a student’s health plan meets waiver criteria.

What is UC Ship?

UC SHIP is a comprehensive insurance plan which includes Medical, Vision, Dental, and Pharmacy coverage. UC SHIP is an affordable health insurance plan tailored to the health care needs of UCSB students. The medical plan features year-round, worldwide coverage using the Anthem Blue Cross network, and includes prepaid access to care at the UCSB Student Health Center for illness or injury.

How does UC Ship EOB work?

How it works. The student government from each campus selects one graduate and one undergraduate as a representative to sit on the UC SHIP EOB to review and vote annually on UC SHIP benefits ( e.g., medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, and behavioral health coverage).

What is Gaucho Student Health Insurance Plan?

The Gaucho Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) Advisory Committee was established in Fall 2013 to oversee the functioning of the UCSB student insurance program and to provide broad input from campus stakeholders in annual plan benefit design and premium negotiations. The Committee includes representation from both undergraduate and graduate students, university officials, and representatives from campus student services. They make annual recommendations for SHIP changes to the Chancellor, through the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs and the Dean of the Graduate Division.

Does UC Santa Barbara have health insurance?

All registered students at the University of California are required to meet the university’s health insurance mandate. Dental Care. The SHS dental clinic has resumed routine preventative and diagnostic services. Please call (951) 827-3039 to be screened by our staff Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4:30 p.m., and Thursdays from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4:30 p.m. You must complete the Student Symptom Survey before your appointment.

What is the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act?

If you are a student*, the University of California follows the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA) the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other applicable laws that apply to the use and disclosure of your health information.

Can you enter the SHS building for dental appointments?

Remember that you must complete the Daily Wellness Check before coming on to campus. You will not be allowed to enter the SHS building for medical and dental appointments or pharmacy pick-up or drop-offs without clearance.

Does UC Riverside have health insurance?

UC Riverside now offers students who have opted out of the University of California Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP) an alternative for receiving basic medical care at SHS — Highlander Care.
