What is the patient portal and how do I use it?

Helping enhance communications between students and the health and wellness team, is the Patient Portal. With an account, this secure and confidential digital portal provides students the opportunity to: Schedule and access appointments for health care. (Please call 315.443.8000 to schedule a Counseling or Health Care appointment.)

How do I log into the SHSU patient portal?

Log onto the Patient Portal by accessing it through the Student Health Center Homepage. Your SHSU student username and password will be your log on credentials. Starting January 4, 2021, the SHSU Student Health Center will be handling all on-campus COVID testing. This transition will require students to upload their insurance to the patient portal.

How do I access the Syracuse University patient portal?

Access and submit records such as health statements and immunization history. Only Syracuse University students have access to the Patient Portal. Access the Patient Portal by logging in with your NetID and password. For questions or additional information, please email the Barnes Center at The Arch or call 315.443.8000.

How do I log in to my SCSU email?

To log in enter the beginning of your SCSU email. Do not add "@southernct.edu." Enter your SCSU password. If you forgot your SCSU account password, you can reset by going to helpdesk.southernct.edu and wait 24-48 hours before logging into this portal again.

Student Health Services is prepared to assist you in maintaining your health while we are faced with the evolving COVID-19 situation. We are available for telephone consultation or video conferencing. If, after this meeting, it is determined that you need to be seen in the office we will schedule an appointment for you in a timely manner. Is student health service open to all students?

All registered students are welcome and encouraged to access the medical care available in Student Health Services. We would like to extend a special invitation to Graduate, Commuter, and Part-Time Students.

You don't have to leave campus for healthcare -- our services are available right here, at no out-of-pocket cost to you. Whether it's a medication refill, injury, or illness we are here to help with whatever we can. Learn more.

Medical Clinic

Medical Clinic provides diagnosis, treatment, prevention, promotion and education services to students.

What is a medical clinic?

The clinic provides general medical care including preventative care, and diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries. Appointments can be made with physicians and nurse practitioners.

Who Can Use the Services?

The Clinic's services are available to enrolled students, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion or ethnicity. Having medical insurance is not a prerequisite. Learn more about insurance.

How to upload insurance to a patient portal?

To upload your insurance: Log into your patient portal. Click the third tab labeled "Insurance". Click the blue tab labeled "Add New". Fill in the required fields: Insurance Company. Policy Number. Group Number. Scroll down and click the blue tab labeled "A dd".

Do you have to activate your SHSU email?

You must activate your SHSU email before you can log in. SHSU requires to submit all medical information through our Patient Portal. Our Patient Portal allows you to upload documents from your smartphone.
