What is the HIV Program at KU?

The HIV program provides care and treatment to over 1,200 patients, with average annual increases of over 100 new patients a year. The care is provided at the KU Internal Medicine Midtown facility located at 1001 N. Minneapolis Wichita, Kansas.

What is KU Midtown Clinic?

The KU Midtown Clinic physicians are devoted to providing excellent medical care to all patients in Wichita and the surrounding areas. Our board-certified physicians provide a wide variety of clinical services including preventive medicine, chronic disease management, diabetes care, and obesity and weight loss services. The Midtown clinic also specializes in treating patients with HIV, PREP/PEP, STDs, Hepatitis C and transgender care.

How often do HIV treatment centers travel to Kansas?

Our faculty and resident physicians are at a number of facilities throughout the week. Our nurses will routinely contact doctors during the day and relay your messages. Unless it is an emergency, expect a response later in the day.

The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita Center for Clinical Research has resumed leading the local effort of a nationwide clinical trial brought through the COVID-19 Prevention Network testing the COVID-19 vaccine AZD1222, developed by Oxford University and purchased by AstraZeneca.
