All services at the Student Health Center and University Counseling Service are covered by UnitedHealthcare StudentResources (UHCSR).

How do I talk to a doctor at Howard University Hospital?

Call (202) 865-7677 to schedule an in-person visit or set up a time to talk to a doctor by video or phone at Howard University Hospital. You’ll get the same level of care whether you’re in your physician’s office or the comfort of home.

What can I do in the huhs patient portal?

Log into the HUHS Patient Portal to communicate with your providers, review information that is available in your medical record, and schedule available appointments (appointment types are limited at this time). How to register for a hospital?

After June 6, 2019, we invite you to re-register your Hospital Patient Portal account and follow these instructions: 1 Verify your identity by entering your legal first name, legal last name, and date of birth. 2 Verify your email address and set up a username and password. 3 Select three security questions. Be sure to supply answers that are not easy for others to guess or discover. 4 If your first name, last name, and date of birth that was used for registration matches an existing patient record, a PIN will be sent to your phone that you’ll need to enter online to verify your identity. 5 Once your identity is verified, you’ll be able to access your patient record.

MyHealthRecord gives you easy, online access, 24 hours a day, to portions of your hospital medical records and test results. MyHealthRecord is free to use, simple to sign-up for and is completely secure. Only you and your care team at the hospital will have access to your private health information.

Does my health record have a security update?

The My Health Record will receive a security update. This update will make accessing your medical information online, through a computer, tablet, or smartphone, safe and easy. It will also provide you with a better user experience and enhanced security. There have been no security breaches with your current account.

How to make an appointment with a student health insurance?

Appointments can be made by logging into the Patient Portal. If you have the university Student Health Insurance Plan, you have access to a 24/7 nurse line and telehealth appointments by calling 800-581-0368 . Virtual Health appointments are available to policyholders at no cost.

What is SHC in medical school?

The Student Health Center (SHC) provides primary and preventative care to currently enrolled students who have paid the medical services fee along with their tuition.
