What is Greene County General Hospital?

This Patient and Families information is provided to help answer questions you may have about our hospital, our services, or policies that may affect your stay.

How many visitors per patient?

Only one visitor per patient, if the patient has not tested positive for COVID-19 or is not a COVID-19 rule-out (test results pending)

What time does GCGH open?

Following recommendations from the CDC and Indiana State Department of Health, GCGH has restricted visitors to: Only visiting during visiting hours, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Visitors must be screened at entrances and wear a mask. No visitors under the age of 18.

Why do they ask for a patient's birth date?

The patient’s birth date will be repeatedly requested by staff members to protect patient identity and safety.

Where to register for emergency room?

All patients should register at patient registration in the Emergency Room lobby. Each patient will receive a computer generated identification band with patient name and other identifiers.

Is Greene County General Hospital a latex free facility?

Greene County General Hospital is a latex-free facility, so we ask that you refrain from bringing balloons to our patients.

When was Greene County Health established?

The team at Greene County Health has been around for years, but we were established as an independent clinic in 2016 which allows us to provide you with even more hands on and affordable care.
