What is Auburn Community Hospital?

At Auburn Community Hospital, we strive to provide compassionate and comprehensive women’s health care by delivering specialized programs with individualized care. Our Obstetrics Program includes all aspects of maternity care, including pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum care. Our Gynecological Program focuses on the unique needs of women beyond obstetrics. Both programs are administered in collaboration with a woman’s primary care provider.

Is Auburn Community Hospital free for newborns?

NOTE: All classes are free to patients delivering their newborns at Auburn Community Hospital. A fee is charged for those who choose to deliver at another facility.

What is the Bain Birthing Center?

Our obstetric patients deliver at the Bain Birthing Center at Mount Auburn Hospital, a family centered unit dedicated to providing individualized, supportive care. Our maternity services include a Level II nursery and 24-hour in-house pediatric coverage. Obstetric anesthesia is always available. During the postpartum stay, breastfeeding is encouraged, and lactation consultants provide daily education and assistance.

Do you need a referral for gynecologic care?

Patients needing routine gynecologic care do not need a referral
